GULAGA ORGANICS, BERMAGUI

Gulaga Organics sits at the top of Bermagui town, wrapped in the verandah of an historic boarding house, where people of old used to rest before boarding for their ferry trip north to Sydney. A combined bulk wholefoods store, organic café and plant-based drinks bar where you can shop consciously, then sit and gaze over the ocean to Gulaga Mountain herself with an organic Delano coffee or health-giving smoothie loaded with super foods. As well as decadent raw and dairy free treats, Gulaga has over 180 products in bulk bins, loads of gluten and dairy free options, kombucha, alternative milks, local eggs, and produce. You can stock up on ‘natural living’ products for body and skin care, but also home cleaning, shopping and well, everything for living ethically while on holiday.

IL PASSAGGIO PROVODORE, BERMAGUI

Chef Bennie runs the show at il Passaggio Milk Bar and Deli, flaunting his skills at all things hand made and Italian: pasta, passata, pesto, sauces, and the chopping of the pancetta! Sister ship to il Passaggio Restaurant, the provodore is on the main street of Bermi and will satisfy your wants and fresh, gourmet needs. From a quintessentially Italian Deli lunch, to tresses of pasta and all the Summer tomato redness and basil greenness you desire, plus salumi, fresh ricotta and mature cheeses, salt, pomodoro, balsamic vinegars, antipasti and if you’re lucky a Tira Mi Su or Cannoli may find it’s way into your shopping basket. Il Passaggio is a delightful, friendly pasta kitchen, deli and Italian grocer where you can stock up on goods for those rainy days, find out what’s in season, and you can enquire about take home meals.

WILD RYE'S BAKERY & ROASTERY, PAMBULA

Seriously, the pies are to die for, but the bread being produced in the Wild Rye's ovens is primo! The pizza bases seem to have some secret to them, they always make such delicious pizza… the baguettes and Turkish bread, paninis and rolls of all sizes are soft and the range of pastries and cakes mean you can stock up for a weeks-worth of entertaining, casual to special, even if it’s not beach weather and those kids are under your feet all day. Wild Rye’s can help out if you need a beautiful cake to celebrate, or catering your an event or function. Coffee is sourced from a variety of small growers & co-ops from coffee growing regions around the world and can be sent to your door via Australia Post.



HONORBREAD, BERMAGUI

Honorbread opened in 2015 and is an institution in Bermagui. A morning trip to the bakery’s cute shop early in the morning sees customers chatting and sipping coffee while they wait in line. For customers, read die-hard fans. Some of the Honorbread stars on their hit list of lovely loaves are the Classic Country Loaf, Rye & Caraway loaf, Fruit and Walnut, Wholewheat, Olive and Rosemary, Oat Porridge and Almond loaf, Black Bread and Hightop loaves and our favourite Raisin Fennel and Spelt. Try an unforgettable Kardemummabullar, Tiberke or Cinnamon Breakfast Buns, and on Fridays? Bagels!

BIANCHINI GELATI, PAMBULA

Located in Pambula, Bianchini Gelati is a haven for those with a sweet tooth - especially in summer! This local gelateria uses only the finest ingredients and traditional Italian techniques to create mouthwatering gelato that will have you coming back time and time again. They use local Tilba jersey milk and Bega Valley Eggs along with local and seasonal ingredients often sourced or gifted by local villagers - think fingerlimes, kumquats, grapefruits, plums and so much more! Their small-batch offerings change often so there is always something new to try. 

The Bianchini Gelati van can often be found at local events and festivals so keep your eye out when on the Sapphire Coast!

CANDELO GENERAL STORE

Located in the original General Store building, which retains many of its charming historical features, the Candelo General Store is a wonderful spot to pick up local groceries and produce, as well as delicious coffee and meals from the eatery next door! The store stocks a great range of local delights including Disaster Bay Chillies, Tilba Dairy jersey milk and cheese, Wheatley Lane bread, Savelle Farm olive oil, Candelo Old School Farm produce, Bega Cheese, Wild Rye's coffee and bread, Shadrack's Creek Worcestershire sauce and Beyond Chai tea and more!
