GRAVITY EDEN MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK


Ride wild at our new world-class mountain bike park, Gravity Eden! Located in the coastal forests of Eden, the park features more than 58km of incredible machine-built MTB trails catering for all skill levels. From technical descents to smooth pedal-ins along scenic forest trails, Gravity Eden is not to be missed on your summer adventure on the Sapphire Coast! 

Eden's new gravity trails add to the existing 50km 
Tathra MTB trail network, meaning you can now explore more than 100km of mountain bike trails on the Sapphire Coast! From mountain bike hire (inc. E-bikes) to guided tours, we've got everything you need for a mountain biking adventure on the Sapphire Coast.

ARCHIBALD PRIZE, 18 NOVEMBer - 7 JANUARY 2024


This summer, the new South East Centre of Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Bega will host the prestigious Archibald Prize 2023! Wander the stunning new gallery space with all 57 finalists in this year's prize with famous faces from across Australian art, politics, celebrity and notoriety. It's also your chance to get a first-look at the incredible new SECCA gallery! A place for art, culture and ideas, SECCA's program delivers an intellectual and artistic exchange of ideas, connecting the Sapphire Coast community with the best local and global contemporary visual culture.


The Archibald Prize is on at SECCA from 18 November - 7 January 2024, tickets essential.

Navigate Expeditions have collaborated with Twofold Aboriginal Corporation to deliver an immersive cultural kayaking experience along the spectacular Pambula River. Paddle with a local Indigenous guide and listen to stories of culture, history and lore that will reveal Pambula River in a whole new light. 


Paddle your way to pristine Severs Beach, a place deeply entwined with the Indigenous heritage of the Sapphire Coast region, resonating with thousands of years of history. On this journey you will gain an understanding of local wildlife names, gather knowledge about traditional bush foods, and marvel at the pristine surroundings that have held meaning for generations.

Merimbula's new swoon-worthy wine bar beckons with an irresistible lineup of hard-to-find wines, perfected Euro-inspired bites and traditionally preserved seafoods and fine cheeses. Make sure you try the Aristotelis Ke Anthoula 'Pash & Pop', a gorgeous natural and fruity-fiz delight made locally in Pambula. It goes perfectly with fresh oysters (plucked from Merimbula Lake) or their 'potato hash browns' served with whipped Creme Fraice, salmon roe and horseradish.

This summer you have the chance to encounter native Australian wildlife at Eden Wharf! Tiny Zoo will be running small-group educational talks and interactive experiences at the Eden Welcome Centre. Perfect for families, you will have the chance to meet a python, tawny frogmouth and more! Their experienced zookeepers and ecologists will share their knowledge of their animals in a small group setting where you will be able to touch or even hold each animal, ask questions and take as many photographs as you like!

The Sapphire Coast is ideally suited to marine adventures with 160km of pristine coastline encompassing headlands, embayments, coastal inlets, lakes and an abundance of undisturbed beaches. Running parallel to this coastal fringe is a narrow expanse of shallow kelp-covered reefs that are buffered by sandy bottom. These reefs provide robust habitat for all manner of marine life that can be seen a short distance from the shore in many locations.

One of our favourite things to do in the spring is to head out on our hiking trails in search of sunshine, serenity and of course whales! From August to November, tens of thousands of whales travel the 'Humpback Highway' along our coast, on their way south to Antarctica. And lucky for us, our coastal walks and hikes offer up plenty of elevation, ocean views and beautiful scenery to watch the show!
