Best known as the songwriter behind Benji & The Saltwater Sound System, Benji's music draws inspiration from Australia's coastline, landscapes and communities. Blending folk, roots, indie and soulful grooves with evocative storytelling, his songs have become favourites with audiences across the country.
As part of MUVE's Beyond the Curtain series, this is more than a concert. Before the music begins, Benji, Val and Blue Mallee will share the stories, experiences and moments that inspired their songs, inviting audiences into the creative process before taking to the stage.
Headlining the evening, Benji Fowler performs a rare stripped-back set, revealing his songs as they were first written—honest, intimate and beautifully personal. Joining him are Val Moogz, whose heartfelt indie-pop and funky-folk songs celebrate authenticity, connection and community, and Blue Mallee, whose soaring harmonies and cinematic indie-folk have established them as one of regional NSW's most exciting emerging acts.
