Snug Cove-Eden Wharf
Set in a working port under the shadow of Balawan (Mount Imlay) Snug Cove harbours a fleet of fishing, charter and recreational vessels.
Watching over the action from one of the eateries you are likely to see boats come and go, the day’s catch unloaded and fishermen working on their nets and tending to their boats.
The three wharves each have their own flavor of activities and are popular stops for rarer vessels such as cruise ships and tall ships.
Be sure to wander around the precinct and visit the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre, Anna Warren’s art gallery Full Fathom Five, see the catch processed at Southland Fish Supplies and pick up some award winning smoked seafood at Eden Smokehouse.
Snug Cove is also home to the Eden Whale Festival, hosted each year in November.
