Rotary Park Lookout – whale watching
The premier whale watching spot in Eden with views across the whole southern section of Twofold Bay. Boyd’s Tower can be seen standing proud on the opposite headland.
The Eden Lookout has free hosted whale watching each Spring, along with short walks, free gas barbecues, a children’s playground and epic elevated views. The Rotary Walk along the headland is about 1.5 km return and takes you past Marine Rescue, a towering coastal pine forest and through tea tree tunnels to more elevated vantage points.
Watch whales with the experts from Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre each Tuesday and Wednesday in September and October, between 10am and 12pm.
They have lots of tips on what to look for, along with equipment and and suggestions for other places to spot whales on the Sapphire Coast.
