Quarantine Bay & Rixon’s Beach
Quarantine Bay and Rixon’s Beach are a sheltered part of Twofold Bay, with amenities, jetty and boat ramp.
Rixon’s Beach is virtually wave free, short, and bordered by a break wall at one end and natural rock at the other.
The beach is dotted with boats and a boat shed, and has amenities and shady places to sit.
While peaceful and ringing with bell bird calls, there is always something to watch on the water, as the bay is home to a four lane boat ramp, Quarantine Bay Yacht Club, and the Eden Amateur Fishermen’s Club.
The bay is also a trackhead for the Bundian Way Story Trail, an ancient and interpretative walk that can be accessed from the Eden Amateur Fishing Club carpark, or Cocora Beach.
From Eden, drive south on the Princes Highway for 3 kilometres, then turn left onto Quarantine Bay Road.
