Murunna Point

Walk-in | Indigenous installation | Camel Rock |Montreal Goldfield

A photographers haven, Murunna Point has spectacular views north, south and east and is close to local icon Camel Rock. The easy walk is about 1.5km return. This site is close to Australia’s only coastal gold field, Montreal Gold Field, which is open for tours daily at 2pm.

Directions

From Bermagui: Drive north on Lamont Street, cross the Bermagui River Bridge. Stay on Wallaga Lake Road to Wallaga Lake Heights (8kms). Turn right onto Wallaga Street and park in the car park. Take the boardwalk along the lake’s edge then follow the walking track to Murunna Point.

From the north: At Wallaga Lake Heights, turn left onto Wallaga Street and park in the car park. Take the boardwalk along the lake’s edge then follow the walking track to Murunna Point.
