Gillards Beach in Mimosa Rocks National Park is almost 2km long so there’s plenty of room for games, fishing, surfing and lazing about.
There’s lots of wildlife here, and at night you might spot a potoroo, a small marsupial with a long nose.
A popular camp site, Gillard’s is bordered by the bush and the beach. There are around 70 unmarked campsites and the grounds can be accessed by caravans, ARVs and trailers. Be flexible, as there are no bookings available for this camp ground.
From Tathra head north on the Tathra-Bermagui Road for 7 kilometres, then turn onto Gillards Road and follow the signs.
