Four Winds Easter Festival – Bermagui – April 18th to 21st 2019
Set in a unique environment at Barragga Bay, the Four Winds Easter Festival brings world-class musicians, performers & their audiences together in state-of-the-art venues amongst the majesty of nature.
Candelo Village Festival – April 26th to 28th 2019
The Candelo Village Festival is a biennial celebration of the village culture and the Arts in Candelo. The Community Hall will play its role as a vibrant cultural hub and be the primary venue for the festival audience this year. Music, Theatre, Local Forums and Literary events will be held in the town hall over the entire weekend of 26-28 April and fine food will be readily available throughout the park and village.
Merimbula Malibu Surf Comp – May 4th 2019
The Malibu Surfing Competition is an annual surfing event held in Merimbula. It is a one-day Malibu surf spectacular with surfers surfing through a virtual gauntlet to reach the finals and great honours.
Merimbula Jazz Festival – June 7th to 10th 2019
Jazz lovers adore this seaside festival, celebrating music across 3 days with hundreds of musicians and performers and in 2019 it will see in it’s 39th year!!
Features of the weekend are the Jazz Street Parade and Concert, Saturday night Jazz Quest and the late night jam session which has the town rocking until well into the wee hours. 2019’s festival will see the inaugraul Lakeside Lantern Walk on Saturday 8th June. Starting at 5.30pm from Spencer Park, join the community and accompanying musicians as they make their way to town in a lantern spectacular.
The Tathra MTB Euro – Queens Birthday long weekend June 2019
The Tathra Enduro is a mountain biking odyssey that captures the best of the beaches, the forests and the mountains. It’s a rare opportunity to race along the coastline on a mix of forest roads, double track and secret stashes of single track deep in the heart of the coastal wilderness. Whale Watching Season – Sept to Nov 2019
The Sapphire Coast has been named Australia’s premier whale watching destination by Australian Geographic and Spring is the best time to see these majestic creatures as they nurse and rest on their annual migration to Antarctic.

This event should be on every golfer’s calendar. Widely regarded as one of the best tournaments for amateurs in Australia, visitors come from every state and from overseas, just to participate. With over 800 annual competitors playing a variety of competitions, it’s a tremendously friendly, carnival atmosphere.
The Merimbula Classic – Nov 21st to 24th 2019
The Merimbula Classic is an event like no other. Its a 4 day celebration of wave sailing, SUP surfing and kite surfing in the wind and waves of The Sapphire Coast. Simply, just a long weekend of paddling, hanging out and having a good time.
Watch current and past world and Australian champions mix it with the locals on the beach and at Ford Oval, which lies just behind the dunes.
Eden Whale Festival – Nov 1st to 3rd 2019
The Eden Whale Festival is held every year and is a celebration of all things whale. The festival combines whale watching experiences and activities to entertain the whole family, plus live shows, the festival parade, loads of outdoor entertainment, photography, film, music, seafood, local produce and so much more…
George Bass Marathon – Dec 29th 2019 to 4th Jan 2020
This is the longest, toughest surfboat race in the world!
Teams and single ski paddlers undergo a gruelling seven days on the open ocean, covering 190km’s of the coastline between Batemans Bay & Eden and contending with variable and wild surf conditions to launch and land their boats. They are elite athletes, skilled lifeguards and adventurers at heart.
We’re just 2.5 hours south of Canberra by car and 6 hours from Sydney & Melbourne. If you don’t want to drive, Regional Express can fly you here from Sydney or Melbourne in less than 90 minutes. From Bermagui in the North to Eden in the South, explore and drop in on the coastal towns of Tathra, Merimbula and Pambula or head a little inland and enjoy the beautiful rolling hills and rich farming history of Bega and Candelo.
