Fine art, secluded beaches and delectable food...When she’s not being the creative mastermind behind Tanja’s Narek Galleries, Karen O’Clery likes to keep life simple. Sometimes it’s all about art, beaches and Blue Eye Romesco – A picnic, a wander through local galleries, a love of home grown food and an appreciating eye for beauty.
Karen’s perfect day will take you from Tathra to Bermagui. With a few special stops, her trail follows the Coast Road Art Trail, a 40 kilometre stretch of pristine coastline dotted with secluded bays and estuaries, passionate foodies and artists who love the landscape as much as their mediums.
Join Karen as she starts her day with brunch at the Tathra Wharf, one of the Sapphire Coast’s first steamer wharves. Head north to explore her favourite secret beaches, dropping in at the region’s best art galleries along the way then end your journey at Bermagui Harbour, where the day’s catch could be on your plate in time for dinner.
Do it in half a day, or spend the night – the time you take is up to you.
