Lawn Bowls Sapphire Coast
Lovers of bowls will often tell you it’s not just the challenge and tactical skill required that gets them hooked, it’s the pleasure of spending time outdoors and the social interaction that keeps them coming back. With clubs up and down our coast offering a myriad of bowling experiences, the Sapphire Coast is a great place to indulge in this fabulous pastime. From companionable beachside greens at Tathra to world class covered rinks at Merimbula, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
And don’t forget the new kid on the block, bringing a completely new type of punter to the game – barefoot bowling. A relaxed, shoeless form of the game, Australia has had a love affair with barefoot bowls for the past decade, resulting in many of the clubs relaxing their rules on membership and dress code to appeal to a new generation. See more on our friendly clubs below.
With plenty of space, fresh air and freedom, Eden Gardens Country Club is one of the best locations for playing an end or two of Bowls. With two bowling greens, the club offers social bowls, business bowls, twilight bowls in the Summer months and of course, barefoot bowls.
