National Parks & Wildlife Services September School Holiday Discovery Program
Where: Bournda National Park & Merimbula
Web: Fun day at Bournda National Park offering a range of nature based activities including canoeing, a bushwalk, WOW Van with our popular reptile man, and possibly a spotlight search at night and some arts crafts activity. There will be a half day shore base whale watching activity (most likely at Short Point in Merimbula) where we keep an eye out for whales and have some whale rescue equipment and disentanglement procedures on display with hands on activities for the kids. The Merimbula Aquarium has 27 tanks and a fantastic Oceanarium full of large ocean fish and sharks found along the Sapphire Coast. Fish feeding is the best time to visit as all tanks are fed and the fish become very active. Fish feeding is held every Mon, Wed & Fri and Mon-Fri during School Holidays.
Opening hours 10am-5pm. Ticket Prices Adult $11.50; children $6.50; concession $8.00; family $27.50 (2 adults & up to 4 children). Annual Pass $65. An indepth Aquarium Tour is held every Wed from 11.30-12.30pm.
