27th TILBA EASTER FESTIVAL
This great highlight of South Coast events is promising to be as exciting as ever as the old village of Central Tilba prepares to expand its population from 100 to 10,000 for one great day of fun for all ages. This Easter Saturday's entertainment for all ages will include:- live music from 4 stages, roaming street performers, hilarious street games with prizes, art show and craft demonstrations, market stalls, lots of yummy food and more!

All this in the magical setting of Central Tilba’s main street and its 100 year old weather board buildings. The entire village and surrounding lush volcanic farmland rolling down to the ocean have been protected by the National Trust. (It's just a short drive south from Narooma.) Easter Saturday is the one day each year when the street is closed to traffic and open to a huge array of culture and festivities. A modest donation of $5 for adults and $2 for kids is the unbelievably cheap admission which covers all the entertainment all day long!

This year we're thrilled to have award winning pavement artist Jenny McCracken to paint our pavements! Other highlights include acclaimed magician the Great Zamboni, Milo the Clown, the Reptile Awareness snake show, the egg toss and bushie's boot throw, Lenka's Puppet Show, and more surprises wherever you go!... like the slippery pole and cheesey roll... Also on the street don't miss Blacksmith Ian Hamilton, and kids: get your face enhanced with Shona's Face Painting and then go to the far bottom car park for the Amusement Rides!

Music lovers will be treated with a huge variety of music from jazz to blues to folk to bagpipes! Musical Acts include the soulful Adam Hole and Marji Curran, South Coast stars Makin Whoopie, the ever georgeous & voluptuous Mable, Malumba, The Bateman's Bay Soldier's Club Pipe Band, Neil Graham, Beggers Banquet, Footloose Strangers, Second Time Around, Bridget Murane, Richard Bloomfield, Waiting for Kim, MG Jazz, Lisa & Tony, Akolele Ladies, Shanti & Sol, The Jaqui Howarth Band and Tilba School's Rock on Kids. Dance enthusiasts will be inspired by Gordon Budd's Irish Dancers and Tilba on Tap....that's music and dance from 4 stages all day long! Also don't miss the finest stars of the next generation at the finals of the Tilba Youth Talent Quest...

This year's Art Show in the Big Hall is themed "Earth, Water, Air and Fire" so don't forget to enjoy a peaceful break from all the excitement on the street and soak up the beautiful expressions of our talented local artists.

The festival is proud to be a volunteer non-profit community project, completely free of corporate sponsorship, and dedicated to the happiness of all who attend. Tilba’s warm community spirit makes it possible, so come and share this spirit with us! ....preferably on a BUS - as parking is limited. See the bus timetable from Dalmeny on www.tilba.com.au and see you there!

TATHRA ENDURO MOUNTAIN BIKE EVENT

The inaugural Tathra MTB Enduro is a mountain biking odyssey that pays homage to the early coastal pioneers and captures the best of beaches, the forests and the mountains. From Tathra Beach , Moon Bay, and “Gillards” the event offers a rare opportunity to race along the coastline, tracking through reclaimed farmland and the stunning Mimosa Rocks National Park, offering a mix of forest roads, double track and secret stashes of single track deep in the heart of the coastal wilderness. Participants can race in a 10km prologue on the Saturday while Sunday 50kers can expect to climb some 1000m, as they race from the beach to the full height of Dr George Mountain, before plunging back down to the sea. Those opting for the epic 100km can expect plenty more, as they tickle the trigs and ride perilously close to the district’s highest point. Are you up for the challenge
