Dairy country, historic buildings and a spot of fishing...

As a third generation dairy farmer and Mayor of the Bega Valley Shire Bill Taylor loves to take a scenic country drive though the Sapphire Coast’s rolling hills and historic buildings and, if he has time, drop a line for a peaceful few hours fishing at the mouth of the Bega River.

Bill begins his day off-duty by dropping a line at the mouth of the Bega River, before taking a drive though the best dairy country to the historic towns of Candelo, Wyndham and Pambula.

Depending on how the fish are biting, you can take this trip in half a day or soak up country life in an overnight stay at Candelo or Wyndham.
