Pre-Christmas escapes for coast lovers

The first few weeks of December are an ideal time to visit the Sapphire Coast. Summer arrives, but the crowds won’t until be here after Christmas, and the rates are Off Peak.

We know you’re busy preparing for the festivities, but there’s advantages to be had by taking a short break between now and December 25.

Maybe you want to learn how to snorkel for your own seafood? Just imagine how impressed your guests would be at the Christmas feast.

There’s a 3 day coastal walk and camping expedition that you can do on your own or in company, with pre-Christmas saving of 20%.

Take a morning surf lesson for giggles and to gain confidence at the beach. Learn conversation starting facts on a magical oyster tour. For example did you know that oysters have been cultivated in Australia for over 12,000 years?

We can introduce you to people who live for coastal adventures and who can support you while you have them too.  Then there’s the growers, the makers, the entertainers, who are jubilantly crafting because Summer is here.

It’s the same summer, but a different experience, and an opportunity to reconnect with your inner wild.

Sapphire Coast is a 3 hour drive from Canberra via Cooma, and is halfway between Sydney and Melbourne.

There are also daily flights to Merimbula from Sydney and Melbourne. Travel information here.
