The festival runs from March 28 to April 1 and celebrates classical & chamber music, choral pieces, music making, new works, solos and symphonies. It is supported by a children’s program, house concerts, a free community concert at Bermagui’s Dickinson Park and pop-up performances around Bermagui on Good Friday.

Add a magical bushland location, inspirational art, ideas and conversation, fine fare from local South Coast artisan foodies and producers, and it will be the perfect Easter weekend.

A firm favourite with music lovers, the Four Winds Easter Festival is an experience which is worlds apart from a typical concert hall performance: an encounter with music and nature for both artists and audiences; the guiding philosophy which has seen the event go from strength to strength.

Speaking on behalf of the organisation, Artistic Director James Crabb says, “Over the past 27 years, the Four Winds Easter Festival has grown from a small gathering of friends enjoying an afternoon of quality music-making in a stunningly beautiful location, to a highly anticipated event drawing an audience of thousands, offering five days of exceptional performances and programs presented by over sixty Australian and international artists.”

“Four Winds is committed to building its contribution to the Australian and international music-making ecology, so making the Festival an annual event is in many ways a natural development.

“Over recent years we have laid the foundations for a vibrant year-round program incorporating music education, community-based projects, commissioning, performances and artist residencies, all inspired by our exceptional location in nature. The Easter Festival provides the perfect opportunity to showcase our work to a wider national audience and share the best of evolving music-making practice.”

Celebrated British violinist Jack Liebeck and Israeli flautist Ariel Zuckermann will take to the stage alongside Australian soprano Emma Pearson, pianists Tamara-Anna Cislowska and Ian Munro, harpist Alice Giles, guitarist Aleksandr Tsiboulski, ensembles such as the Goldner String Quartet, The Song Company, Speak Percussion and the Australian Brass Quintet, to name just a few.

Choose from individually ticketed concerts and events from Wednesday March 28; or full day Festival passes, which provide access to the main Sound Shell stage program, with performances from 10am – 4pm on Easter Saturday March 31 and from 9.30am – 3.30pm Easter Sunday April 1.
And don’t miss the free evening concert and pop up performances at a range of venues in and around Bermagui on Good Friday – March 30.
