BERMAGUI HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM
Bunga Street Entrance (opposite Mitre 10)

 

Opens Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10.00am to 2.00pm.

 

The museum is located in the Community Centre and displays of old photographs illustrate local life & industries, alongside our collection of donated exhibits.

Main Focus is on Big Game Fishing, The Timber Industry, Coastal Shipping and Development from first settlers.

A computer based archive of images, maps and documents is available for research as well as recordings and multimedia presentations.

The Eden Killer Whale Museum has been in operation for some seventy five years. The museum is managed by a small, enthusiastic voluntary committee. The members of the committee are justly proud of the progress that has been achieved over the past two decades.

Originally the old Merimbula School dating from 1873, the heritage building now houses an excellent collection of objects and photographs displaying the history of the surrounding area from early settlement to the present day. A favourite destination with tourists during a visit to Merimbula.
